I suppose we should count our blessings and be thankful that not one in every four female graduate is a lap dancer.

Why not? Lap dancing or Pole Dancing, as it is known in the US and Mexico, should be one of the wifely traits (along with cooking and etiquette) young girls should develop to attract men to marry them.
