SHAKIR: (As for) the fornicatress and the fornicator, flog each of them, (giving) a hundred stripes, and let not pity for them detain you in the matter of obedience to Allah, if you believe in Allah and the last day, and let a party of believers witness their chastisement.

Give them a hundred lashes each, and we can all move on!

That's why all those young Muslim men go crazy and blow themselves up, cuz they're not allowed to fornicate. Imagine cheating on your wife, getting totally intoxicated by a beautiful woman on the side and getting 100 lashes for that! Wouldn't that be a shock for life! LOL

I am all for reinterpreting the Koran according to existing UK legal principles

I have been campaigning for the legalisation of brothel-keeping for quite a while now.

Prostitution is not a dishonest trade.

Trapping a man into marrying you by getting pregnant is dishonest.

Impregnating a woman not your wife and then leaving her in the lurch also is.

It only makes sense to legalize prostitution if all the other women deny sex to men. That would certainly be a shock therapy, given how the guys are used to getting the milking without buying (or feeding) the cow. It would be truly interesting to see what they would do.

There needs to be a systemic social reform to equalize the relationship between the genders. Going back to traditional is hardly possible, the only way is forward but it is very far.

It will be interesting to see how the coming economic hardships will affect gender relationships. It's possible that people will start needing each other again. Lots of fellas losing their jobs these days..

An official marriage and sex strike is precisely what I am suggesting. If it carries on forever I suppose we would be committing national or civilisational suicide.

Presumably some Voice of Reason will prevail upon the parties and negotiate a mutually acceptable settlement.
